ROBERT CRIPPEN
(May 7, 1926 - May 1, 2009)

ROBERT D. CRIPPEN, 82, of Huntington, passed away, Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital. He was the widower of Mary Crippen (2007). Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at the Springhill Cemetery with Ministers Wayne Carter, & David Crippen officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery. There will be no visitation. He was born May 7, 1926, in Upland, Pa., a son of the late Lee & Cathell Carroll Crippen. He was a retired Electrical Engineer at Huntington Alloys, a member of Beverly Hills Church of Christ, Knights Templar, Mason, life member of Purdue Alumni, life member of Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers, life member of the Association of Iron & Steel Engineers., Survivors include a cousin, David Crippen and his wife Karen of Columbus, Ga. and their three daughters, Rebecca and Deborah Crippen and Tabitha Bilbrey; sister-in-law, Frances Keenan of Huntington, a sister, Lois Tompkins, Berea, KY, an adopted grandson & granddaughter, Michael and Gina Miller both of Huntington, a special friend, Tom Hatten, and his faithful dog, Duffy III.  HENSON MORTUARY BARBOURSVILLE is in charge of arrangements for the family.
