MICHAEL EUGENE WILCOX
(September 17, 1949 - November 14, 2009)

Michael Eugene Wilcox, 60, of Hurricane, WV, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2009, at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV. He was born September 17, 1949, in Huntington, WV the son of the late Ernest Eugene Wilcox. He was a gentle kind and loving husband and father. He will be remembered for his dedication to his family. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Thompson Wilcox of Hurricane, WV and his mother Mrs. Glendora Paugh (Dodie) Wilcox of Huntington, WV; two daughters, Melissa Wilcox of Dayton, Ohio and Amy Michelle (David) Connelly of Hurricane, WV;, one sister, Sharon Wilcox (Paul) Boster of Proctorville, Ohio. Mr. Wilcox was a member of the Lewis Memorial Baptist Church, Huntington, WV and a Veteran of U.S. Army.  He was also a former employee of Elkem Metals, Alloy, WV. as an Instrument Supervisor prior to his illness. A Celebration of his Life will be conducted on Wednesday, November 18, 2009, 12:00 PM at the Henson Mortuary with Dr. Tim Yates officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at the Henson Mortuary. The family wishes memorial contributions to be made to Hubbard Hospice House, 1001- Kennewa Drive, Charleston, WV 25311 or Hospice Care, 1606-Kanawha Blvd, Charleston, WV 25313. Henson Mortuary, Barboursville is assisting the family with arrangements.
