JAUANITA ROSALIE HUNSAKER
JAUANITA “ROSALIE” HUNSAKER, 84, of Huntington, WV, died Tuesday, August 3 , 2010, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, West Virginia. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 5, 2010, at Henson Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Bill Blankenship and Rev. Bonnie Boyce officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. She was born March 18, 1926, in Barboursville, WV, the daughter of the late Robert Ambrose Swann and Mary Inez Hatfield Swann. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband, John Hunsaker, Jr.; daughter Nancy Tomblyn (Bill) of Buckhannon, WV; son John Dale Hunsaker (Diana) of La Place, LA; grandson Michael Tomblyn (Marcie) of Tampa, FL; granddaughter Melanie Savage (John) of Hanover, VA; granddaughter Angela Patton (Tim) of Greenville, AL; grandson Chris Hunsaker of La Place, LA; four great-grandchildren (Haylee, Hannah, Jonathan, and Rebecca) of Greenville, AL; sister Patricia Derbyshire of Huntington, WV; and sisters-in-law Taz Swann of Missoula, MT and Agnes Hunsaker of Wise, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 4 sisters. Rosalie served as founder and director of the food pantry at Spring Valley Presbyterian Church where she also served as an elder and a member of the Outreach Committee. She was league secretary (Senior Swingers bowling team) at Strike Zone Bowling Alley for the past 16 years, and, for many years prior, at Colonial Lanes also past secretary of the year for the Huntington Bowling Association. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Henson Mortuary on Thursday, August 5, 2010. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House.
