GEORGE OKEY (PINKY) PINKERMAN
George Okey (Pinky) Pinkerman, 82 of Barboursville, WV, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2010 in St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Henson Mortuary with Rev. David Cardwell officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. He was born April 2, 1928 in Cabell County, WV, the son of the late Oliver and Nellie (Roach) Pinkerman. He was retired from Special Metals, member of the VFW Post #9738 in Guyandotte, a U.S. Navy WWII Veteran and member of the Glory Way Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by his wife Deloris (Gue) Pinkerman in 2005. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Cheri and Mike Christian of Barboursville, WV; two sons, and daughters–in-law, George and Brenda Pinkerman, Greg and Georgia Pinkerman all of Barboursville, WV; two sisters, Alice Louise Dement of Huntington, WV and Ruth Johnson of Kenova, WV; Eight grandchildren, Melissa and Matt Christus, Mansfield, OH, Casey and Whitney Christian of Barboursville, WV, Jeffrey and Deanna Pinkerman of Culloden, WV, Chad Pinkerman of Barboursville, WV, Brian and Melanie Pinkerman of Barboursville, WV, Chris Pinkerman of Barboursville, WV, Bianca and Jeremy Walters of Kenova, WV; eight great-grandchildren, Madeline, Faith and Brady Pinkerman of Barboursville, WV, Bentleigh, Marshall and Coleson Christus of Mansfield, OH, Ezekiel Hickman of Milton, WV, Carson Christian of Barboursville, WV; and his cat, Sheba; several brothers and sisters-in-law and a host of family and friends. Friends may call from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Henson Mortuary.
