JERRY FRANKLIN JEFFERSON
(June 4, 1937 - May 17, 2011)

Jerry Franklin Jefferson, 73 of Kingsland, Ga. formerly of Barboursville, W.Va. died Tuesday, May 17, 2011 in  Hospice of Golden Isle, Brunswick, GA. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Henson Mortuary, Barboursville, W.Va. with the Rev. Jeff Overstreet officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. He was born June 4, 1937 in Barboursville, WV. the son of the late Max C. and Loris Grove Jefferson. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Kingsland, GA, and a proud 1987 graduate of Pfeiffer University, Charlotte, NC, where he attended night school for 14 years until he attained his degree in accounting.  Jerry served in the U.S. Air Force in Korea and worked as an accountant and controller for many years. He is survived by two daughters, Kathy Mullins (Jeff)  of Statesville, NC. and Jenny Crump (Jason) of Virginia Beach, Va.; two brothers, Merle and Dee Dee and Mickey and Bonnie Jo Jefferson and one sister, Barbara Midkiff (Don) all of Barboursville; five grandchildren, Emily, Sarah and Andrew Mullins and Jake and Josh Crump and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Henson Mortuary, Barboursville, W.Va. Jerry’s wishes were that memorial donations be made to Autism Speaks or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
