Obituary

EMMETT E. JONES
(February 12, 1936 - November 9, 2011)

Emmett E. Jones, known to his family as Eugene and Gene, 75 of Branchland, WV, went home to be with  the Lord on Wednesday, November  9, 2011 at his residence. Emmett was born in Roane, County, WV on February 12, 1936, the son of the late Forrest W. Jones and Maymie M. Shaffer. He was also preceded in death by his son, Gary H. Jones and a nephew, Cliff Wyatt.  Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Henson Mortuary, Barboursville, WV with Richard Farley officiating. Burial will follow in Green Valley Cemetery, Branchland, WV. Emmett retired as Superintendent from Enviro-Tech, Rock Hill,. SC and was known in Huntington as the owner of Jones Auto Repair. He was also a former Police Officer in Warwick, RI. He enjoyed life restoring cars and building Ultralight and Experimental Aircrafts. He is survived by one son, Walter (Bud) and daughter-in-law, Sue Jones of Rock Hill, SC.; three daughters, Eugenia (Jeannie) Jones of Branchland, WV; Conda and and son-in-law, Dewey Holesapple of Charlotte, NC, Eugenia Pauley of FL; six grandchildren, Jamie and Sheila Burcham of Barboursville, WV, Adam Jones and Miranda Miller of Salt Rock, WV, Tana and Willie Gerrity of Cleveland, NC, Melissa Laney of Charlote, NC, Dwanna Jones and Walter L. Jones both of of FL. He was also blessed with two great-granddaughters, Brittany Burcham and Bailey Gerrity; one sister, Audra Wyatt of Charleston, WV; one nephew, Carl Wyatt of Cross Lanes, WV, one niece, Crystal and Jake his beloved beagle and a host of family and friends.  A Life Celebration will be held from 6-8 PM on Friday, November 11, 2011 at Henson Mortuary, Barboursville, WV. Serving as pallbearers will be Eugenia, Conda, Walter, Jamie, Adam and Karl Kreglo.
