HARRY EUGENE "HUB" CURRY
Harry Eugene “Hub” Curry, 87 of Barboursville, WV, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Huntington Health And Rehab Center, Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Henson Mortuary, Barboursville, WV with Pastor Jim Musgrave officiating. Entombment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. He was born September 11, 1924 in Huntington, WV, the son of the late Arnold H. and Sopha Mae (Clary) Curry. He was preceded in death by his loving wife in 2006, Carol Bailey Curry and two brothers, Ralph and Bill Curry. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Rick Curry (Nancy) of Richmond, VA; one grandson, Brandon Curry of Richmond, VA. and one granddaughter, Windsor Curry of Raleigh, NC. He was a retired U.S. Army Air Corp Pilot Instructor, a Wholesale Gasoline Distributor for Exxon Corp, member of Kuhn Memorial Presbyterian Church in Barboursville, member of the Huntington Elks Club #313 where he served in every role including WV State President. He was a Charter Member and one of the original developers of the Esquire Golf and Country Club. Harry enjoyed playing Semi-Pro Softball and baseball and was on the Championship team of the Elks Lodge. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The American Heart Association or the American Cancer Association. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Henson Mortuary, Barboursville, WV.
