Obituary
CHARLES RAY HAMPTON
Charles Ray Hampton, Sr. 72 of Logan, WV, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2013 in Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV. He was born April 8, 1940 in Wharton, WV the son of the late, John and Florence Blackburn Hampton. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Eugene, Robert and Frank Hampton and two sisters, Virginia Price and Ruth Sharon Adkins. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Dillon Hampton of Logan, WV; two brothers, John Hampton, Jr. (Nell) of TN. And James Paul Hampton (Kembely); two sisters, Patricia Kinser (Rick) of Hewett, WV and Lois Hart (Christopher) of OH; children, three daughters, Annie Pritchett of IL., Stephanie Belcher and Cheryl Belcher both of Logan, WV; sons, James and Michael Hampton both of IL. and Chuck Hampton of OH, Jimmy Lemaster of WI; twenty grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and a host of friends. Charles served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp, was a member of Greater Life Apostolic Church, Stollings, WV and retired from Triton Metal, P.K. Tools of IL; Brinks Armored Truck and his last job at TMK Security for Southern West Virginia Community College. Funeral services will be conducted at 1PM on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV with Rev. A.G. Lilley officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Godby, WV with Military graveside rites conducted by American Legion Post #103 Chapmanville, WV, DAV Post #39 Harts Creek, WV and VFW Post #6153 Chapmanville, WV. Visitation will be from 6-9 PM on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV.
