MARY E. JORDAN
(March 27, 1929 - November 24, 2013)

Mary Ellen Jordan, 84 of Milton, WV, passed away, Sunday, November 24, 2013 in St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington. She was born March 27, 1929 in Milton, WV the daughter of the late, Leo “Budd” Allene McKeny  Harshbarger. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one grandson, Michael Ryan Searls and one step-grandson, John Anthony Smith. She was a retired clerk from the Fas Check & Foodland Grocery Store, and member of Union Baptist Church, Milton, WV. She is survived by one son, Richard L. Jordan of NC; one daughter, Paula Jean Smith (Rick) of Hurricane, WV; two grandchildren, Amber Dawn Armstrong of Hurricane, WV and Brooke Jordan of NC; two great-grandchildren, Megan Marie Armstrong and Michael Matthew Armstrong both of Hurricane, WV.; two step-grandchildren, Rickie Smith of Hamlin, WV and Leah Kay Smith of ND; niece and nephew, Chris and Laura Harshbarger. A loving member of the family Marie Angus of Cross Lanes, WV; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Harshbarger of  Milton, WV; longtime best friends, Jean Ramsey, Gerry Keaton, Helen King, Barbara Persinger and Adalia Bryant. Graveside services will be conducted at 2PM on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Milton Cemetery, Milton, WV with Pastor R. Brent Becket officiating . There will be no visitation. In lieu of flower, memorial contributions may be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Barboursville, WV is caring for the family.
