MAXINE GRAVELY BURGESS
(January 31, 1925 - October 22, 2013)

Maxine Gravely Burgess, 88  of Barboursville, WV, widow of Gene Burgess, passed away, Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at home. She was born January 31, 1925 in Baisden, WV the daughter of the late Kenneth and Iva Cline Gravely.  She was homemaker and attended New Life Church in Huntington. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Sue Gatto; four brothers, Lacy, Benny, Tennis and Ray Gravely.  She is survived by one son, Denny (Drema) Roberson of Teays Valley, WV; one daughter, Carolyn Grimmett (Harry) of Delbarton, WV; two step-children, Gene Burgess of FL. and Linda Arnold of Hurricane, WV; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Highland Memory Gardens, Chapmanville, WV with Pastor Clayton Cline officiating.  There will be no visitation. Burial will follow the services.
