IULA PORTER HARTLEY
(May 15, 1931 - October 6, 2013)

Iula Mae Porter Hartley, 82 of Midland Meadows Senior Living, Ona, WV, passed away, Sunday, October 06, 2013 in St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV.  She was born May 15, 1931 in Dehue, WV the daughter of the late, George Dewey and Amma Lillie (Lackey) Porter. She was a retired Administrative Assistant with Marshall Medical School Library and member of Woman of the Well Ministry. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, George, John and Arnold Porter; one sister, Sue Rakotci; two sons, Arthur Russell Chapman and David Ray Ross and one grandson, Michael Ross. She is survived by one son, Daniel Ross of Marlow, Oklahoma and one daughter, Lisabeth Ross Cummings of Chicago, Illinois; three sisters, Margaret Porter Jones, Beatrice Porter Gibeaut; six grandchildren, Lisa, Therese, Jonathan, Kathleen, Melissa and Justin and eight great-grandchildren; a host of family and friends as well as her Midland Meadows Senior Living family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to in her memory to the Breast Cancer Society of America. Services will be private and burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens, Pecks Mill, WV.
