THELMA LEWIS COLLINS
(March 28, 1920 - October 25, 2013)

Thelma Collins, 93 of Barboursville, WV, passed away, Friday, October 25, 2013 in Heartland of Riverview, South Point, OH. She was born March 28, 1920 in Barboursville, WV the daughter of the late, William F. and Birtie Ann Thompson Lewis. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Barboursville, WV with Rev. Bill Blankenship and Dr. Tim Yates officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Sulpher Cemetery, Ona, WV. Thelma retired from Penny Fare, the former Evans Supermarket and also worked at the original B&B Food Market, member of Barboursville Baptist Church for over forty years where she was also a member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by five sisters, Myrtle McCorkle, Elsie Nelson, Beulah McGinnis, Opal Jefferson and Lila Martin; one brother, Virgil Lewis and one great-grandson, Zachary Boggs. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Nadean (Ronnie) Smallridge of Grove City, OH; two sons, Wetzel W. "Butch" Peyton (Linda Keaton) of Barboursville, WV and Woodrow (Nadine) Byrd of Sumter, SC; six grandchildren, Kim (Charles) Guinther, Robin (John) Cook, Christi (Paul) McClellan, Teresa (Carl) Doggett, Yvonne Love, Yvette (Allen) Wilkinson; twenty great-grandchildren and twenty great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-9 PM Monday, October 28, 2013 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Barboursville, WV.
