SIMP CONLEY
(April 10, 1948 - April 30, 2014)

Simp Conley, 65 of Logan, WV, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2014. He was born April 10, 1949 in Harts, WV, the son of the late, Miller and Margaret Whitt Conley. He was retired from Cantenary Coal Company, Cabin Creek, WV, the Samples Mine. His career spanned forty-four years as a heavy equipment operator and supervisor in the mining industry. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Jessie Hearon and Diane Nelson; one brother, Stonewall Conley. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lemaster Conley of Logan, WV; four daughters, Linda Conley Brown (Eric) and Carol Conley Thompson (Wayne) all of Charleston, WV, Patricia Conley Baker (Allen) of Chester, SC and Stephanie Lemaster Belcher (Keith) of Logan, WV and one son, Jimmy Lemaster (Carmen) of Appleton, Wisconsin; five sisters, Barbara K. Browning and Elizabeth Payne both of Harts, WV, Wanda Alexander (Mark) of Virginia, Lilly Freeman (Steve) of Michigan, Margaret Ruth Henthorn (Ray) of Spencer, WV; three brothers, Archie Conley (Michelle), Billy Conley (Debbie), Tommy Conley (Tadenia) all of Harts, WV; nine grandchildren, forty nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV with Pastor Vidie Marcum officiating. Burial will follow in the Stonewall Conley Cemetery, Harts, WV. Visitation will be from 6-9 PM on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Freeman Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the care of Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Barboursville, WV.
