ROBERT EDWIN DEMPSEY
(December 18, 1949 - April 12, 2014)

Robert Edwin Dempsey, 64 of Huntington, WV, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2014 in St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born December 18, 1949 in Cabell County, WV the son of the late, Donald and Catherine Matilda Griggs Dempsey. He was owner of Dempsey’s Salvage Company. He is survived by two sons, Shane Dempsey of Pulaski, TN. and Robert Dempsey II. of Huntington, WV and two daughters, Charlena and Erin Dempsey both of Huntington, WV; Two sisters, Catherine Astenrider of Philadelphia, PA, and Donna Dempsey of Davenport, FL; three brothers, Ronald Dempsey (Dory) of Tracy, CA, John Dempsey (Judy) of Huntington, WV and David (Alice) Dempsey of Lesage, WV; four grandchildren, Cameron, Felicity, Carsun and Alayna Dempsey. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Barboursville, WV with Rev. Ray Knapp officiating. Burial will follow in Bloss Cemetery, Dixon, WV. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM on Tuesday until services time at the funeral home.
