JERRY R. GOODSON
(January 8, 1951 - April 1, 2014

Jerry Ray “J.R.” Goodson, 63 of Julian, WV, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 in Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV. He was born January 8, 1951 in Welch WV the son of the late, James Leister and Ethel Mae (Minnick) Goodson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death one sister, Janice Goodson and one brother, Douglas Goodson. He is survived by two sons, Bryan Goodson (Christy) of Julian, WV and Chris Goodson of Nashville, TN; four sisters, Iris Sexton (Thomas) of Chesapeake, OH, Geneva Lambert (Leroy) of Roseburg, OR, Linda Ryder (Freddy) of Lesage, WV and Sylvia Goodson of Huntington, WV; one brother, James L. Goodson, Jr. of Lesage, WV; two grandchildren, Jayden and Alijah Goodson and a host of family and friends. He was a graduate of Welch High School, member of Christ Temple Church and worked in Sales at Dodson Brothers Exterminating. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Barboursville, WV with Pastor Chuck Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary.
