EDWARD LANDER ATCHLEY
(August 19, 1950 - June 3, 2015)



Edward Lander Atchley, 64 of Huntington, W.Va., died, Wednesday, June 3, 2015. He was born August 19, 1950 in Shamrock, W.Va. the son of the late Phillip Atchley. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Louisville, KY. In addition he was involved in  bowling leagues, marathon running, tennis, hunting, fishing, four wheeler riding, singing and helping mankind. He especially loved dogs and volunteered as a clergy for Hospice.  He is survived by his mother, Robbie Atchley; two sons, Eddie Atchley of Frankfort, KY. Edwin Atchley of Louisville, KY; two daughters, DeAnna Atchley of Kansas City Missouri and Kalia Atchley of Louisville, KY; sisters, Phyllis Atchley of Huntington, W.Va, Raddar Atchley of Huntington, W.Va. and Selita Atchley-Harpe of Huntsville, AL; two brothers, Joseph Atchley of Huntington, W.Va. and Johnnie McDowell of Dayton, OH; grandchildren, Justice, Alexandra, Xavier and Jackson Atchley. Home going services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 15, 2015 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Barboursville, W.Va. with Bishop Charles Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East - Greenup County, KY. Friends may call an hour prior to services at the mortuary.
