CATHERINE JANE (KATY) LIPSCOMB
(February 11, 1925 - May 1, 2015)

Catherine (Katy) Lipscomb, Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, 90 of Barboursville, WV, passed away Friday, May 01, 2015 in Chateau Grove Senior Living, Barboursville, W.Va. She was born February 11, 1925 in Hurricane, W.Va. the daughter of the late Charlie and Virginia Wheeler Miller. She was a homemaker, Church of Christ by faith, a graduate of Barboursville High School, Huntington Business School and for many years was active in the Barboursville Junior Women's Club, Cub Scouts and Little League Baseball. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Glen S. (Birdie) Lipscomb to whom she was married for 65 years; one son, Patrick "Rocky" Lipscomb; one brother, Fred Miller and two sisters, Anna Jean Smith and Pauline Kirk. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Tracy (Bonnie) Lipscomb of Barboursville, W.Va. and Mike (Marsha) Lipscomb of Chapin, SC; daughter-in-law, Donna Lipscomb (widow of "Rocky") of Barboursville, W.Va; grandchildren, Brandon Lipscomb of Huntington, W.Va., Joshua Lipscomb of Raleigh, NC, Ramie Lipscomb of Chapin, SC, Justin Lipscomb of Novato, CA, Tyson Lipscomb of Charlotte, NC and Kelsey Robarts of Virginia Beach, VA; great-grandchildren, Lachlan, Carter, Mackenzie, Tristan, Malcolm, Torrey and Tinsley. Funeral services will be at the White Chapel Mausoleum, in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, W.Va. and will be private for the family and extended family at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 9, 2015 with Pastors Brent Beckett and Brady Lipscomb officiating. Burial will follow the services. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association Research, 1601 2nd Avenue, Charleston, W.Va. 25387.
