JOSEPH DONALD SCHWEITZER
(October 16, 1925 - March 15, 2016)

Joseph Donald Schweitzer, husband of Carol Lee Schweitzer, 90 of Huntington, W.Va. passed away, Tuesday, March 15, 2016 in St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, W.Va. He was born October 16, 1925 in Lundale, W.Va. the son of the late, Nicholas Carl and Donna Griffith Schweitzer.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sons, Nicholas and Donald Schweitzer. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Mark J. Schweitzer of Toronto, Canada and a granddaughters, Beatrice and Daisey Matheson-Schweitzer of Toronto, Canada. He was retired from Steel of W.Va. as a Roller Designer, graduate of Huntington High School and Marshall University and member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1: 00 PM on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Huntington, W.Va. near Barboursville. Graveside services will be private with Pastor Dan Londeree officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army and Little Victories Animal Rescue.
