Carolyn Anne Humphrey Roy 78 of Huntington, W.Va. passed away, Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Heritage Center, Huntington, W.Va. She was born May 19, 1939 in Pax, W.Va. the daughter of Alva Humphrey. She was formerly employed as a nurse with St. Mary’s Medical Center, Cabell Huntington Hospital, Green Acres Regional Center and former owner of Bucks Fruit and Produce from 1982-2010 in Huntington, W.Va. She was also on the Board of Directors at Green Gables and Green Acres, VFW Ladies Auxiliary Past President, District VFW Past President, a graduate of Pax High School and St. Mary’s School of Nursing. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray N. “Buck” Roy. She is survived by her daughter, Libby Ruth Roy of Huntington, W.Va. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Henson and Kitchen Mortuary, Huntington, W.Va. with Pastor Helen Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery, Huntington, W.Va. The family will receive friends an hour prior to services.
