PROFESSOR HAROLD EMERSON CAMP, My husband, the Honorable Harold E. Camp took his Lords hand to start his new journey Tuesday, November 7, 2017. He was born and raised in Parkersburg, W.Va. the son of the late, Vernon and Vera Lott Camp. He is also preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Helen Camp Brum (Carl). He is survived by his wife, Betty "BJ Camp; his older brother, Gene and wife, Nancy Camp; his most precious aunt, Roberta Marquis; two nieces, Brenda and Genie; two nephews, Dale and Michael. Harold started working at age nine delivering newspapers and raising goats for milk for cancer patients along his paper route. He graduated Parkersburg High School in 1956. My husband attended Clarkson College of New York where he received a Masters Degree in Science, graduated from Marietta College with Masters Degree in Physics and graduated West Virginia University with an Engineering degree. His long career included retiring from Beckton and Dickenson and Company as an engineer, Corning Glassware as an engineer, retired from Nestle' (Alcon Surgical) in 1997 to pursue his dream of teaching. He enjoyed his fifteen years at Mountwest Community and Technical College especially all of his students. Harold and I had four Persian babies that he adored, Poppy, Prissie, Fussy-butt and Precious. My greatest gift, my husband, Harold Camp, leaves my children, Lisa, Dale and Angie and the "the little girl", our-granddaughter, Amber to cherish his memory for all of time. We will spend many days missing his intelligence, his witt, his love and teachings. Most of all my love, rest in thy saviors kingdom until I meet you again. I love you your wife, BJ. The family wishes to thank the staff at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House for their excellent care of Harold. The family requests that Memorial donations be made to Mountwest Community and Technical College in care of the Harold and Betty Camp Scholarship. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, Nov 11, 2017 at Henson and Kitchen Mortuary, Huntington, W.Va. with visitation an hour before services. Pastor Mike Ansell is officiating.
