JoAnn Hazelett, 84 of Huntington, W.Va. passed away September 4, 2017 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV. JoAnn was a very loving wife and mother. She would do anything she could for someone. She was born November 2, 1932 in Lundale, WV to Oscar and Virgie Hill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded to death by two brothers Wilmer and Elmo. Also preceding her in death were several sisters Ruby, Imy, Jeanette, Alma, and Lois, plus a grandson Christopher Elswick. JoAnn is survived by her husband Charles R. Hazelett Sr, of Huntington, WV, a son Charles R. Hazelett Jr. “Chuck” (Angie) of Pedro, OH and a daughter Christine (Brian) Blackburn of Proctorville, OH. She had six grandchildren James Thomas Blackburn, Christopher Brian Blackburn, Timothy Brandt, Rebecca Hunt, Christopher Workman, Amanda Brandt, and Terry Elswick; a sister Patty German of Albuquerque, NM and a brother Oscar (Jeanie) Hill of Salem, VA. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, Sepetmber 8, 2017 at Henson and Kitchen Mortuary, Huntington, W.Va. with Pastor Brady Lipscomb officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
