James Albert Shipe, 78, of Huntington passed away on Friday, August 2, 2019 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born on October 17, 1940; the son of the late James Eugene and Hazel Faulkner Shipe. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and the former owner of ABC Restaurant Supply in Huntington. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Tim and Benny Shipe. James is survived by his children, Jami Shipe of Huntington, WV and Jonas Shipe of Saugus, CA; grandchildren, Kyle, Jennifer and Michael Shipe, all of Saugus, CA; former wife, Sharon Beth Shipe of Huntington; sister-in-law, Nancy Johnson Shipe of Huntington; niece, Maggie Blankenship of Huntington; and special cousins, Barbara Ann Finley and "Cousin Jo Jo" both of Huntington. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, WV with military honors provided by American Legion Post #139 Milton, WV.
