ObituaryKeith Bernard Turner was born October
9, 1965 in Miami, FL to the late Ovie Turner, Sr. & Mattie Margaret Turner.
He was the 1st of six (6) children; Yesmin Turner of Miami, FL, Cassius
Turner of Miami, FL, Ovie Turner, Jr. (deceased), Tammie Turner (deceased),
and Lavita Turner (deceased). Keith was born and raised in Miami, FL.
After he completed high school, he earned a full football scholarship to
Marshall University in Huntington, WV. He was a faithful member of Saint
Matthews Free Will Baptist, Church, Inc., under the leadership of Bishop Abe
Randall, until his departure for college. In Huntington, he joined Full
Gospel Assembly, under the leadership of Bishop Samuel Moore and remained
loyal until his passing. Keith met Tina Boyd in Huntington, WV. They
were wed on November 16, 1991, and bore three (3) lovely girls; Mia Turner,
Ashanti Turner, and Destiny Turner. After college, he was employed in
social organizations working with kids and other related jobs, until his
retirement in 2018. Keith was also a 1st degree black belt in karate, played
semi-pro football for the Hawks in Huntington, WV, and was a reserve police
officer for ten (10) years. Keith was a great and doting father, church
member, and friend. Keith had a smile that lit the room and a heart of
pure love. Keith was very goofy and made everybody laugh, but he always knew
there was a time to play and a time to be serious. It’s safe to say, he was
a people person. He was a great man who did not mind helping others, even
when he did not have much himself. Even at his worse, he was always
concerned for the needs others. Christ called Keith Bernard Turner home on
Saturday, August 18, 2019 at 4:04 p.m., surrounded by all his daughters,
