Josephine Stewart Banfield, 100, of Catlettsburg, Kentucky went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at KDMC. Josephine "Jo" was born March 4th, 1920 in Catlettsburg, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Grover and Virgie Stewart. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William S. Banfield; three brothers, Bill Stewart, Don Stewart, and James Stewart; and two sisters, Armenta Hullett and Emogene Wright. She was a retired beautician and owner of "Jo's Beauty Shop" for over 40 years and was the eldest member of the Catlettsburg Harvest Church of God. She is survived by her children; Marcia (Linzy) Runyon of Catlettsburg, Kentucky; William (Nancy) Banfield of Ashland, Kentucky; grandson Alex Banfield; sister, Ann Hullett of Catlettsburg, Kentucky; sister-in-laws, Evelyn George and Revia Stewart; and a granddaughter (by heart) Julia Boyd. Services honoring her life, following COVID-19 guidelines will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, August 26th at the Catlettsburg Harvest Church of God with Rev. Roger Wireman officiating and visitation from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM service time. Burial will follow at Ross Cemetery in Rush, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to "The Centennial Fund" at the Catlettsburg Harvest Church of God. Henson and Kitchen Mortuary 6357 E.
