Randy, Randall Dean Pennington, 50 of Huntington, WV went to Heaven January 17, 2021. He was born June 3, 1970 to the late Charlene Hughes Vaughan and Robert Pennington. He is survived by his loving wife Melony of 28 years and daughter, Brooke and son Taylor. His sisters Tammy Pennington (Kelvin Rodman, Kim Trotter) and Staci Johnson. A special cousin, Jenny Lynn Young. Beloved father and mother in law Danny and Joyce Arthur. Brother in law Allen (Stacey) Arthur. Nieces Alyssa Pennington and Haley Johnson. Nephews Chris (Christina) Pennington, Arron Pennington, Chad, Chase and Trenton Arthur. Great nieces Mya and Amelia and a great nephew Tyke. And Allyson Heck and Joey Keith whom he called his kids. Randy first attended New Beginning Apostolic church at the age of 13 as a bus kid. He continued to attend there faithfully for the rest of his life. He worked whole heartedly for the Lord and served in many ways from singing in the choir, the praise team, solos, Sunday school teacher, usher, youth leader, and a church camp dorm father for 20 years on Holy Hill. Randy was employed at Red Cross for 30 years. He was a collection specialist and team lead but there was no job too great or small. He was a true leader. He was loved by every volunteer and donor who ever met him. It has been said that some would only donate when Randy was there to take care of them. He was loving and caring and had a contagious smile. He never met a stranger and has made many friends through his life time. Too many friends to count but three of his closest friends were his life long coworker and dear friend Angie Fischer. Life long school friends Christy Scarberry and Pat Thacker. Randy lovingly went by many titles, a tour guide, a cruise director, a team member, and we loved the way he took care of us. He prided himself by being a leader and running a tight ship but his greatest accomplishments were being called Melony’s Honey and Brooke and Taylor’s Dad. You will be greatly missed. We love you. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at New Beginning Apostolic Church, 1002 25th St, Huntington, WV with Bishop Norman Mills, Pastor Todd Mills and Bishop Edwin Harper officiating.
