John Harlan Yates

John Harlan Yates, 65 of Barboursville, WV passed away Friday, February 25, 2022 at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born December 30, 1956 in Huntington, WV the son of the late, James and Patricia Thompson Yates. He was a cashier at Tower Foodfair in Barboursville and spent a great deal of his life using his talent as a church organist at both Jefferson Avenue Church of God and Christ Temple Church. He was a music enthusiast and music was his passion. He is survived by one son, Weston Yates (Megan) of Proctorville, OH. and his grandson, Finntyn Yates of Proctorville, OH and a dear friend, Connie Shepherd-Yates. Per John's request, there will be no public services. Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, 6357 E. Pea Ridge Road Huntington, WV; near Barboursville is caring for the family.
