Wayne Windle

WAYNE C. WINDLE, 62, of Huntington, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9 at Klingel Carpenter Mortuary. Wayne was born May 13, 1949, in Huntington, W. Va., the only child of the late Earl and Edith Windle. Wayne Windle LIVED every day of his life. His zest for fun and friendship was beyond compare. He was passionate about making the most out of life and spent his doing the things he loved; and always surrounded by friends and family. He enjoyed travel, the outdoors, reading, learning about the world around him, imbibing with friends, and sports; particularly the Thundering Herd and the Indianapolis Colts. He is survived and remembered by his wife of 38 years, Irene, his son and friend, Clayton, his daughter-in-law, Kimberly, his beloved granddaughter, Mila Elise, his canine buddy, Indy, and a seemingly countless number of friends. To know Wayne, was to love Wayne. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at the funeral home.
