John "Papaw" Huddy

John “Papaw” Huddy, 56, of Huntington, died Sunday, January 16, 2011 at his home. He was a professional carpet installer. John was born September 8, 1954 in Charleston, WV, a son of Judith Ann Schenz Huddy and the late Ross Irwin Huddy. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a sister, Jane Huddy. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Sheila Huddy; two children, Rudy and Alyce Phillips; three grandchildren, Christina, John and James Ticknor; many nieces and nephews including nephew and friend, Robert Sturm; a brother, Walter Huddy and two sisters, Linda Robinson and Judy Gosney. There will be no formal services held. Klingel Carpenter Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
