Mr. Kenneth Lee Kavanagh
(December
16, 1938 - July 12, 2012)
Kenneth
Kavanagh, 73, of Huntington,
died Thursday, July 12, 2012 in Huntington Health and Rehab. A memorial
service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 14,2012 by Father Dean Borgmeyer
at the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Kenneth
was born December 16, 1938 in Cedarville, Oh., a son of the late Charles
Kavanagh and Florence Lynch
Kavanagh OBryant. In addition to his
parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Ronald
Kavanagh and a sister, Phyllis Rolph. Kenny
was the owner of Advertising Art Sign Company which allowed him to use his
love of art as an artist. He was a member of the Mensa Society and served as
board member of CASA of the WV Heartland. He was a graduate of Marshall
University and attended Duke University and served his country with the U.S.
Army and also the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Additionally,
he was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Huntington.
Kenneth is survived by a sister, Patricia
Gambrell of Clinton, Tenn. And by several nieces and nephews. A special
thank you is extended to the staff of the Huntington Regional VA Hospital
and Huntington Health and Rehab. The family will receive friends prior to
the service at the church from 10 a.m. until service time.
