Marilyn Ruth Putz, 84, of Huntington, died Sunday, August 17, 2014 at the Woodland Retirement Community Health Care, in Huntington. The daughter of Ruth and Leon Putz of Point Pleasant, she was a graduate of Vanderbilt University, taught English at Fairfax Hall, Waynesboro, Virginia, and was Associate Professor of English at Marshall University. Private burial at Kirkland Memorial Cemetery in Point Pleasant.
