Patricia Vass Sale

Patricia Vass Sale, 85, of Huntington, wife of Jack Sale, died Wednesday, January 8, 2014 in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 12 noon Saturday, January 11, 2014 by the Rev. Mark Conner at Klingel Carpenter Mortuary. Interment will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. Pat was born January 24, 1928 in Huntington, a daughter of the late Frank and Kathryn Perdue Vass. She enjoyed her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was kind and considerate to all she met. Patricia was a member of the First United Methodist Church serving on the board of trustees, hospitality and other various committees and enjoyed crafting at the church and at home especially selling her clothespin dolls at WVU Mountaineer week. She was an avid fan of both Marshall and WVU sports. In addition to her husband of 65 years, she is survived by Chic Sale and Jane of Ardmore, OK., Rick Sale and Carol Markstrom of Clarksburg, WV; three grandchildren, Megan Caldwell, Zachary Sale, and Karli Shepherd all of OK; four great-grandchildren, Maci and Kate Caldwell, Shae and Gage McGee; two brothers, Bob and Margaret Vass and Dick and Carol Vass, all of Huntington; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, January 10th at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church or charity of ones choice.
