Erma Lee (Staley) Long
(October 7, 1920 - March 30, 2015)



Erma Lee Staley Long, 94, of Huntington, widow of Frank T. Long, died Monday, March 30, 2015 in Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be held by Pastor Bob McGlone and Rev. Ike Nicholson at 11 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2015 at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary with visitation from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park. Erma Lee was born October 7, 1920 in Huntington, the daughter of the late Charles Walker Staley and Lydia Bloss Staley. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Walker Staley, four sisters, Mary Alice Krech, Nila Mae Bowles and Joanne Rakes and Janice Pyles. Survivors include a sister, Janice Pyles (Mrs. Gary B.) of Brandon, FL and several nieces and nephews. She was married to Frank Long for 52 years; he passed away on December 16, 1997. She was a faithful member of Vinson Memorial Christian Church and retired from the federal government after working for the Selective Service System in both Wayne and Cabell County. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington.
