Paul W Saler

Paul “Bill” Saler, 92, of Huntington, died Saturday, January 9, 2016 in the Sanctuary of the Ohio Valley. Bill was born in Ironton, OH on November 2, 1923 to the late Joseph P. and Emma Hacker Saler. He is also preceded in death by his wife Lois C. Saler, a brother, Frank Saler and a sister, Rosemary Day. Bill graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Bill loved playing golf, was a member of the B.P.O.E. Elks 313 and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Huntington. Bill is survived by his children, Paul Crane of Bartlett, IL, Daniel Crane of Barrington, IL, Sally Guerra (Gus) of Naples, FL. And Patricia Crane of Wauconda, IL; a sister, Margaret “Peggy” Hixon of Ironton, OH; and a daughter-in-law Sharon Ann Farrell of Willow Wood, OH; 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Huntington, WV. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until service time. Entombment will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park.
