Robert Walter "Bob" Agee
(January 19, 1929 - August 3, 2017)



Robert Walter “Bob” Agee, 88, of Huntington, died Thursday, August 3, 2017 in Huntington.  He was born January 19, 1929 in Huntington, a son of the late Floyd Leigh and Ada Pryor Agee.  Bob was also preceded in death by a brother, William Floyd Agee and two sisters, Katherine Agee Atkins and Eleanor Agee Pettus.  He was a graduate of Woodberry Forest School and Princeton University and an Officer in the United States Navy from 1953 to 1956.  He retired as Executive Vice President and Secretary of Heiner’s Bakery, Vice President of Frederick Holding Company, a member of the Board of Directors of Huntington Federal Savings and Loan, Past President of Stella Fuller Settlement, an active worker with Contact of Huntington since over 25 years, Board of Trustees Davis and Elkins College, Past Vice-President of Agee Department Stores, Bankers  Corporation, Security Realty Co., Past President WV Bakers Association, Past Major Gifts Division Chairman of the United Way, member of Guyan Golf & Country Club and the Gypsy Club and a 2011 Inductee of the Marshall University Lewis College of Business Hall of Fame,  Bob was also a member of First Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  Bob is survived by his wife of 65 years, Earleen Heiner Agee; four children Wes (Carolyn), Brian (Susie), Kim (Alan) and Katherine; nine grandchildren, Taylor (Rachel), Lindsay (Josh), Peyton (Kendra), Courtney, Andy, Tyler (Bekah) Kyle, Colin and Keely; four great grandchildren, Ellen, Layne, Bryce and Gavin, and several nieces and nephews.  Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at The First Presbyterian Church by The Rev. Skip Seibel.  Interment will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park.  Friends may call Wednesday Noon until service time at the church.  Klingel-Carpenter is assisting the family with arrangements.
