Donald Everett Fullerton
(September 30, 1934 - March 10, 2017)



DONALD EVERETT FULLERTON, 82, of Huntington, WV, died Friday, March 10, 2017 in Huntington after a long illness. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 15 at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary by Rev. Michael L. Rexroad, his pastor at Central United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park with Military Honors. He was born September 30, 1934, in Huntington, W.Va. A son of the late  Robert Beckner and Gretchen Baker Fullerton, Sr. His wife, Nora M. Terri Fullerton and a brother, Robert, Jr. all preceded him in death. He is survived by a sister, Barbara D. Wood. In 1950, thanks to the devotion of his parents, he and his brother attained the rank of Eagle Scout and in 1951 and he attained the Eagle with Bronze Palm. The Church and Scouting set in him on the pathway of life to travel, though rocky at times a beacon was always ahead. He was a graduate of H.H.S. Class of ’52 and an active member of the class reunion committee. S/Sgt. Fullerton, U.S.A.F. was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam War era. He was a Technical Instructor in Mechanical Accessories and Equipment for aircraft. He was a specialist in B-52 and F-100 aircraft. His occupation as an Electro-Mechanical Service Technician and Private Rail Car Mechanical Officer lasted for 38 years. In November 1998 he became a watchdog for the City of Huntington and has served on Boards for both City of Huntington and Cabell County. Friends may call Wednesday 1:00 p.m. until service time at the Funeral Home. By special request from D. Everett, send no flowers but contributions may be made to The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House.
