Obituary
Charles Francis Runyon Jr.
(September 12, 1948 - March 3, 2017)
Charles "Chuck" Runyon of Lesage, passed away March 3, 2017 at
home in the loving care of his family. He was born September 12, 1948 in
Logan County WV, a son of June Runyon and the late Charles F Runyon, Sr.
Chuck was in the automobile business for many years. He worked in Huntington
WV and Huntington Beach CA for others. After returning to Huntington WV he
founded Car Spot, Inc in Wayne WV and branched out to antique and classic
cars in Huntington with the Classic Car Museum in the old Coca Cola bottling
plant. Lately he enjoyed wheeling and dealing at Classic Cars, the newest
incarnation of the original Car Spot, Inc. One of his favorite things to do
was discuss automobiles with anyone and especially the guys who were his
particular car buddies who often dropped in to "talk cars". Besides his
mother, June, Chuck is survived by his wife of 50 years Sydnee, his son
Charles F Runyon, III, his daughter Amy Runyon McCloud and his son's wife
Tira who he thought of as another daughter. Also his beloved grandchildren,
Keshia Runyon, Kylee McCloud, Chloe McCloud and Charles "Chester" McCloud.
Also surviving him are his brother James "Corkey" Runyon and sisters Judy
Smith, Cheryl Ronald, Karen Runyon and Sally Emmons. At Chuck's request
there will be no visitation or public services. In lieu of flowers, please
give to a charity of choice. He wishes everyone to enjoy life and love their
families as he did.
