Marie Elizabeth Cook
(February 7, 1941 - November 6, 2017)

Marie Elizabeth Cook, 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House on November 6, 2017, following an extended Illness. Marie was born February 7, 1941 in Danbury, CT.  She was preceded in death by husband Arthur Jennings (Bob) Cook and parents, Lester Ezra and Marjorie Archer Sovine. She graduated from Danbury High School and attended Marshall University.  She worked at St.Clair & Levine, Attys. for many years. Marie was a member of South Side United Methodist Church (Community-Grace UMC), where she was active in the choir and the Women's Circle. She is survived by her four daughters, Marjorie Ann Longfellow (Michael), Dorothy Elizabeth Goings, Carole Louise Goings, Leslie Marie Goings; one grandson, Christopher Michael Casey; three granddaughters, Christina Marie Goings, Megan Nicole Longfellow, Taylor Marie Blackburn (Bill) all of Huntington. At Marie's request, a private funeral and interment will be at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Barboursville, WV. The family would like to thank the EDJHH staff for the compassion and comfort they provided during this difficult time.
