Elizabeth May Lawrence
(March 4, 1940 - November 14, 2017)

Elizabeth May Lawrence, 77, of Huntington, died early Tuesday, November 14, 2017 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington.  Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary. Interment will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 12 noon until service time. Elizabeth was born March 4, 1940, in Huntington, WV, the daughter of the late Donald W. and Dorothy G. Roberts.  She was a resident of Lavalette, WV most of her life until moving seven years ago to The Woodlands in Huntington.  She was a lifetime member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church and attended its Friendship Sunday School Class.  Early in her career, she worked for the Social Security Administration office and completed her career as the navigation branch secretary for the Huntington Corps of Engineers. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Lawrence, of 44 years, and two of their three children Debra Ann and Robert Patrick.  Other family members preceding her include a brother, Donald W. Roberts, Jr.  She is survived by her daughter Pamela S. Morrison and her husband Jeffrey L. Morrison of Huntington, WV; one daughter-in-law, Shelly E. Lawrence of Columbus, OH; six grandchildren Alexander Patrick Lawrence, Mary Elizabeth Lawrence, Evan James Lawrence, Trevor James Morrison, Baily Kingston Lawrence, and Noah Robert Lawrence; and one niece Sally Luann Sutton and her husband Brian Sutton of Tulsa, OK.
