FRANCES LOUISE PENNINGTON FISCHER slipped quietly out of this life and into Heaven on September 12, 2010. She was born in Huntington on July 6, 1921, to the late Omar G. Pennington and Emma Markin Pennington. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Charles Lee Fischer, brothers Walter Pennington, Bill Pennington, Omar Maxwell "Max" Pennington, Ivan "Sonny" Pennington, Dale Pennington and sister Dorothy Pennington Grubb Robinette. She is survived by one brother, Ralph Pennington, one son, Bob Fischer and his wife Lynn, a daughter, Brenda Fischer, all of Huntington and a daughter, Barbara Fischer Fowble and her husband Chelcie "Bud" Fowble of Gallipolis, Ohio. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Robert Fischer Jr. "JR", Amy Fischer Booth and her husband Jason Booth, Cory Fischer and his wife Denise, Ryan Fowble and his wife Beth, Kristi Fowble Bennett and her husband Brad Bennett. The grandchildren have blessed Frances' life with 12 great-grandchildren. She was a faithful member of the Harveytown Good Samaritan Church. Frances worked for the Reliance Dress Factory, the Wood Mosaic veneering mill and the Sylvania light plant before settling into her natural role as homemaker, mother and grandmother. She touched the lives of so many people in her 89 years on this earth that she will be leaving a legacy of sacrificial love, laughter, compassion and the hope for a grand reunion day to complete her circle of love. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2010, at Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington, by the Rev. Bob Hale. Burial will follow at Spring Valley Memory Gardens, Huntington. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Reger Funeral Home, Huntington.
