Lorena Waltz Smith
(September 10, 1924 - September 10, 2010)

LORENA WALTZ MILLER SMITH, 86, of Huntington, passed away on Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, at the Huntington Veterans Administration Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, at 1 p.m. at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Jerry Matt. Burial and military rites will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Lorena was an accounting clerk with Owens-Illinois and Columbia Paint Co., and a veteran of the Army Air Corp., having served in W.W.II. She was born on Sept. 10, 1924, in Kanawha County, W.Va., the daughter of the late Ernest and Pearl Staats Waltz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles E. Waltz; and sister, Mary A. Sheers. She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Smith; one son and daughter-in-law, David L. and Carol Miller of N.C.; one granddaughter, Heather Lynette Miller; and a niece, Judy Swann of Proctorville, Ohio. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Reger Funeral Chapel.
