Obituary

Rev. Robert Ernest Trotter
(June 7, 1918 - May 22, 2011)

Rev. Robert Ernest Trotter, 92, of Huntington, husband of Patricia Taylor Trotter, went home to be with his Lord, on Sunday May 22, 2011, at St. Marys Medical Center, Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Friday at the Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington, by Minister Randy Lavender and Minister Tim Linick. Burial will follow in Taylor Cemetery, Huntington. Rev. Trotter was born June 7, 1918 in Northern Ireland to the late Richard Harvey and Annie Scott Trotter. He was a dedicated man of God who was brought to the United States by his mentor Evangelist Leonard Ravenhill. Rev. Trotter spent 17 years as a minister at Wesleyan Chapel in Beckley, WV. He was also an English Professor at the Kansas City Bible College. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Additional survivors include a step daughter Beth Johnson; two sisters and his very close friends Kenny Crook and Brother I. C. Holland. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at the Reger Funeral Home, Huntington.
