Michael Dallas Keating
(November 6, 1927 - March 12, 2012)



Michael Dallas Keating, 84, of Huntington, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2012 at the Huntington Veterans Administration Medical Center.  Funeral service will be conducted on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Rev. Stephen Day. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park, Ashland, KY.  Michael was retired from Pilgrim Glass and a veteran of WWII having served in the US Navy. He was an avid bowler, fisherman and hunter.  He was born on November 6, 1927 in Huntington, WV the son of the late Thomas and Viva Keating. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Magdaline Evick Keating.  Three brothers: Pat and Thomas Keating and Nelson Gibson and two sisters: Oakla Gibson and Frances Darling.  He is survived by his companion : Anna Lee Booth of Huntington and one daughters; Dee Anna Stanley of Huntington. One grandson : Gregory M. Stanley of Huntington; and Debra Stanley and Kristi Gibbs both of Huntington who he loved like his daughter and granddaughter ; a sister Viva Ratliff of Ashland, KY; several nieces and nephews and his fishing buddies Phil, Stapleton and Pleaze Workman. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at the Reger Funeral Home.
