Obituary
Adam Douglas Preece,
36 years old, of Huntington, WV
November 27, 1978 - April 27, 2015. Adam took his first breath on this earth
on a Monday, November 27, 1978, and from the moment he was born he touched
many lives, and brought smiles and laughs to many. Throughout his life that
fact about Adam did not change, and then on another Monday, April 27, 2015,
at around 12:40 in the morning, Adam died from his injuries from being hit
by a train on April 9, 2015, and Adam took his last breath on this earth,
and God wrapped his arms around Adam, and finally gave Adam the peace he had
so desperately been wanting on this earth but couldn’t find, and God took
Adam home to heaven with him where Adam never has to hurt again.

Adam lived his life to the fullest, and exactly the way he wanted to live
it, and he did not care what anyone thought of him! He may not have had a
lot of monetary or material riches in his life here on earth, but he was
rich in spirit and the lives he touched. He lived, laughed, loved, hurt,
cried, fought addiction, had his demons, but he did more in his 36 years
than most of us will get to do in a lifetime, and he touched more lives and
brought more smiles and laughs to more people in his 36 years here on this
earth than most of us will in a lifetime as well. I only wish he could have
seen just how many people he meant the world to, regardless of his flaws!!
None of us are perfect, but we are perfect to someone!! And he was perfect
to many just the way he was, and he was greatly loved!!
“It takes a nobody to be a somebody.
A man can be a son, brother, husband, and father.
To them, he is God’s grace; he is the most loyal
companion; he is a soul mate; he is a hero
and protector.
This nobody to the world is the world to
somebody.”
-K. J. George
Adam was the world to me, his sister, and to many, many more, and he is
greatly loved and missed, especially by his family, friends, and closest
loved ones!!
God makes no mistakes, and he made Adam perfectly!! So, love your loved
ones, FOR EXACTLY WHO THEY ARE, do not judge them, that is God’s job, and
give them all you can while you still have them with you on this earth, even
if you don’t agree with their life and how they live it, and even if you get
mad at them!! We only get one chance at this life here on earth, and life is
too short to not love each other to the fullest, and give each other all
that we can!!!!
I not only lost my brother on Monday April 27, 2015, I lost my best friend,
the first boy I ever loved, whom I have an unbreakable bond with, and who
could make me laugh when no one else could, and my mother and father lost
their first born child, their baby boy, and a piece of their hearts and
souls that they will never get back until the day they are with him again!!
So, laugh when you can, apologize when you should, let go of what you can’t
change, kiss slowly, forgive quickly, play hard, take chances, Give
Everything, Love with Everything in you, don’t judge, live freely, and have
no regrets!! Life is too short to live any other way!! And, Adam lived just
this way!! He was truly amazing!!
Adam was proceeded in death by his paternal grandparents, Sam and Margie
Preece. He is survived by his Mother and Step-Father, Regina and Charles
Pelfrey, his Father, Jack Preece, his Sister and Brother-in-Law, Danielle
and Eddie Stamper, step-sister, Cortnei Turley his maternal Grandparents,
