Obituary
Today we celebrate the life of our mother, wife and friend. Sharon Thornburg age 76 went to be with the Lord. On March 5th 2017. Visitation will be March 9th 6-8 at the Reger Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday March 10th at noon at the Reger Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Spring Valley Memory Gardens. She lived an amazing life and touched many hearts! She was extremely proud to be an incredible mother to her two sons Todd and Nick Thornburg who she gave her heart and soul too as a mother! Her two sons where her life and she made sure that they were raised to be polite, courteous, and taught true friendship toward people. We could not ask for a more loving mother and we will love and miss her so much! She was married to her husband of 54 years Coach Jim Thornburg! She was known as a football widow due to coach T's lifelong dream of coaching! Sharon was an intricate part of the coaching team. For years she would wash uniforms, cook for the team, be a counselor to many of the players. And a mom to some who needed her in that capacity! Sharon was also an amazing Nonnie (grandmother) To her wonderful grandkids that she loved and cherished with all her heart! Colton Thornburg 9, and Ava Thornburg 13. Noah Toney 19 who is proudly serving our country as a soldier, Chris Reffitt 13 and Jenna Reffitt 16. Of all her joys in her life her biggest was being a grandmother! Sharon is also loved by her two daughters-in-law Julie Gentile Thornburg and Amy Toney Thornburg! Sharon will be met in heaven by her Late brother and sister in law Butch and Glenna Fetty, mom and dad Billie and Norvell Fetty. And in-laws Josephine and Carl Thornburg. This is some of the beloved family members and in-laws who will miss her every day. Tom and Sandy Thornburg, Bob Thornburg and his girlfriend Janet Shepard. Nephews an niece John, Lisa, Bobby and Patrick Thornburg. Jeff and Shelly Fetty. Sharon lived her life to the fullest and loved each and every day! As she makes her final journey. Our family just wants to say how blessed that we are that so many family members and friends who she has touched in her journey of life. We are all blessed to be a part of her life! Rest In Peace mom and we will see you one day as we all walk thru the gates of heaven!
