Marian Murphy 89, of Huntington, WV peacefully passed away Wednesday November 22, 2017 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Marian was born August 10, 1928 to William and Helen Zwick Siereveld. Originally from Cincinnati; she had been a Huntington resident since 1964. She leaves behind a son and daughter in law: Dr. Patrick M. Murphy and Dr. Valerie Nix, daughter Lisa Raisovich and two grandsons, George Michael Roy, Jr. (Samantha Roy) and Kieran Patrick Murphy. In addition she is survived by one brother, William Siereveld and cousin Maureen and (Steve) Shinkle. Marian was a well-known local artist and her paintings of barns, houses and country scenery grace the walls of galleries and private homes across the area. In her earlier years she worked as a layout artist in the ad departments of major stores, Pogues, Shiltos and McAlpins in the Cincinnati area. She will be missed by her many relatives and friends. The funeral arrangements, made by her family will be viewing on Nov. 29th from 6-8 PM and services on Thursday, Nov. 30th at 1:00 PM at the Reger Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park, Ashland KY.
