Jean is survived by two sisters, Alice (Charles) Meyers of Akron, Ohio, and Elizabeth (Gene) Williams, of Hollins, VA. Her beloved children are William E. (Kathleen) Evans, Jr. M.D. of Exeter, NH, Steven T. (Guada) Evans of Statesville, NC, Brenda (Mike) Perry and Karen (Phillip) Collier, of Kenova, WV. Jean is leaving behind 14 grandchildren: William E. Evans, III, and Nicholas L. Jean loved bowling, playing Canasta and Bridge, and was an exceptionally loving and devoted grandparent to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jean will be remembered for her extraordinary kindness and generosity to friends, acquaintances, and her devoted attention to customers at her restaurant. Jean would have wanted to especially thank her devoted niece, Diane Bright, and, her son-in-law, Phillip Collier, for their frequent visits and devotion to her during her long illness. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff, nurses and aides at Madison Park who have cared for Jean the past two years and to Hospice, who helped in Jean’s care in the final weeks.
