ObituaryKenneth Earl Flesher Kenneth Earl Flesher, 85, of Huntington, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2011, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Judith Fisher. Entombment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. He was born February 17, 1926, in Cabell County, a son of the late Howard Flesher and Lena Mae Howard Flesher. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II and the Korean Conflict and was decorated with the Bronze Star. He was a member of Barboursville First United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 16, Huntington, V.F.W. 9738, Guyandotte, and Benevolent Order of the Elks Lodge 313, Huntington. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Ashworth Flesher; one sister, Annie Flesher; two brothers, James and Joseph Flesher. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Valerie Hooker Flesher; one son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Carolyn Flesher of Ashland, KY; two sisters, Jackie Estep of Chesapeake, OH and Betty Knight of Houston, TX; one grandson, Thomas Flesher; one great granddaughter, Taylor Lussier-Flesher; step granddaughter, Lesley Shimer; two step grandsons, Hayden and Drew Shimer. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
