ObituaryKasee Michele Dotson
Kasee Michele Dotson, 34, of Huntington, WV, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013 following complications due to a gunshot wound in a domestic violence act nine years ago, resulting in her being a quadriplegic. She was born June 10, 1978 in Lawton, Oklahoma, a daughter of Julie Mannon Callicoat of Huntington and Tim Dotson of Colorado. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Joy G. Fitzpatrick Mannon and her paternal grandparents, Donald D. Boomer Dotson and Marie Dotson. In addtion to her parents she is survived by her maternal grandfather, Jim Mannon of Barboursville; one brother, Caleb (Juleah) Dotson of Huntington; one niece and nephew, Lilly Joy and Nolan Dotson; one aunt, Jana G. (Lowell) Rakes; three uncles, Jimmy Mannon, and his children Megan, Rachel, Pate and Sam, Jack (Teresa) Mannon and Duane (Cheryl) Dotson; her stepfather, Paul Callicoat; her stepmother, Mae Dotson; two stepbrothers, Aaron (Jennifer) Callicoat and Chris Plummer; a stepsister, Jenni (Ben) Jitima and their children, Jakob, Jackson, and Jarrett Jitima; special cousins, Caity Joy Finley and Clay Finley; her best friend and caregiver, Erin Stolze; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel with Terry K. Holley officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House of Huntington, Little Victories, or charity of ones choice. The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors who have taken care of her over the years and a special thanks to the employees of Steel of West Virginia for their donations.
