BERTHA JEAN WOODYARD
(March 16, 1934 - April 19, 2015)



BERTHA JEAN WOODYARD, 81, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015, at the St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2015, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel by the Rev. Buddy Muncey. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. She was born March 16, 1934, in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of the late Leslie and Edna Jordan Blake. She was also preceded in death by her husband Carl O. Woodyard; five sisters, Ruth Abbott, Donna Sowards, Mary Hemming, Dorothy Stephens and Betty Jane Gerlach, and three brothers, Charles Blake, Robert Blake and Donald Blake. She is survived by one daughter, Kim Woodyard and her significant other Tim Turner of Huntington, W.Va.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kelly and Mary Jo Woodyard, Danny and Ruth Woodyard, all of Huntington; one sister, Ruby Ratliff; two brothers, Ronald "Pete" Stephens and Isaac Blake; five grandchildren, Cherlye Knight and her husband Greg, Patrick Woodyard and his wife Jenny, Rhonda Woodyard, Kallie Smith and her husband Brandon, and Matthew Woodyard; and eight great-grandchildren, Megan Reynolds, Hannah Reynolds, Josh Woodyard, Jordan Woodyard, Josh Logan Spradling, Brandon Knight, Madison Cisco and Aurora Smith; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
