Obituary

Robert C. "Bob" Allen
(November 23, 1936 - October 14, 2021)

Robert C. Allen (Bob) went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 14, 2021. Born in the West Virginia coalfields on November 23, 1936, a son of the late Hoye and Mildred Allen. Bob was the epitome of a true West Virginian. A devoted outdoorsman, he taught his family to love and respect the outdoors as he did. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Vickie Gail Lancaster (Sam) and grandson Samuel Lancaster Jr. He leaves behind the love of his life, Rita Allen, wife of 65 years, one son, Robert C. Allen Jr. (Sharon), a sister, Joan Leach (Dale), and two nephews, Clifton and Mark Leach. Bob leaves behind four grandchildren, Ashley Slone (Kelly), Ryan Lancaster (Amy), Aaron Lancaster (Ashley), and Amy Perry (Matt). Bob was the beloved Pap Pap to seven great-grandchildren, Annistyn Gail Lancaster, Hope, Parker, and Lincoln Slone, Gracie, Lilly, and Reid Perry. Bob loved his family and loved his Lord and Savior; join us in celebrating the fact he has returned home and with those that went before him. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville from 12 to 2 p.m. Service will be at 2 p.m. Burial at Ridgelawn Memorial Park.
